Toxic relationships lie at the heart of so many thrillers, our pages filled with terrible marriages, gaslighters, stalkers and the obsessed. The portrayal of toxic conflict in relationships fascinates me because it asks questions beyond what people can achieve for love, hate, fear, grief or any other emotion.
