There are many times that we are left disappointed by the things of this world and we are wondering about our next actions. We ask ourselves, should I respond to the wickedness shown to me or just let Go? At other times, we are tempted severely by the devil, and we are just thinking about our next action. Whatever difficulties or disappointments that happen in life are for the strengthening of our character. When you are severely tempted to sin, you must pause for a second and think about your next action. Should I Go along and commit this sin?

Whether something occupies my attention, or I have nothing else to do, guess what? I play with my nails. Only the Almighty God can reveal to us through his searching Holy Spirit what is at the root of any of our thoughts, words, and deeds. So we should seek his truth and ask for his help in knowing our own hearts and in responding accordingly to his Word. To exercise self-control is to discipline ourselves, set boundaries, and rule over our actions.
